After a number of years in the music industry, in 1999 Susan began working in London based PAMRA/PPL as Royalty Accounts Manager, securing income for PJ Harvey, Muse, Crowded House whilst developing relationships with the societies around the globe. When PAMRA was absorbed by PPL, Susan established International Royalties Rescue (IRR) in London, signing Beyoncé, Radiohead, Rihanna and many more. Susan is indisputably one of the world’s most experienced people in neighbouring rights.

Michael Gudinski and the iconic Mushroom Group moved into the field of neighbouring rights, having acquired Susan Cotchin’s pioneering company, International Royalties Rescue in 2019.
The joint venture was many years in the making as the shared vision of a service focused boutique offering, with a robust infrastructure, was imagined.
